Tim is an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Director of the Institute for Entrepreneurship at Miami University. Internationally-recognized as a leader in the field of entrepreneurial education, the Institute for Entrepreneurship at Miami University has been ranked in the “Top 10 Undergraduate Public Schools for Entrepreneurship Studies” in the nation for 10 years in a row by Entrepreneur Magazine and The Princeton Review®. Tim has more than thirty years of strategy, international business, and startup experience, including work in more than 25 countries. He began his career at Accenture where he spent 13 years consulting with Fortune 100 firms. He later founded Telcom Global Solutions, a $30M design | build | run tech services firm, and two related operating companies, where he raised $20 million in funding to scale the business. Tim sold the company to Flex, a Fortune 500 firm, in 2001, and ran the company's Network Services Division for 2 years, growing revenues to $800M with 8,000 employees.

Tim has advised more than 100 startups and high growth companies and has helped companies raise more than $50M in early-stage venture and growth equity funding since 2014. He is a board member at ReliaQuest, global co-managed cybersecurity services leader, OROS, a leading apparel tech company, CERKL, a personalized communications platform, and mIQroTech, a pipeline monitoring technology company.
